ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweeted that veteran quarterback Chad Pennington torn his ACL during a pickup basketball game. Pennington was attempting to make another comeback and after dealing shoulder issues but this will no doubt have a serious impact on his plans.
SI’s Peter King mentioned that teams may have been willing to take a chance on him as a starting quarterback that could serve as a bridge for a young quarterback.
The uphill battle will continue for the former two-time Comeback Player of the Year.
