49ers

• The 49ers have yet to decide who will be their No. 3 receiver. It’s worth mentioning that Quinton Patton entered last weeks preseason game ahead of Stevie Johnson. (Matt Maiocco)

• The Broncos are expected sit RB Ronnie Hillman for Thursday’s game and give C.J. Anderson the start. (Mike Klis)

Browns

• Suspended WR Josh Gordon will not accrue a season towards free agency, which means he won’t be eligible to test the market until 2017. (Albert Breer)

Packers

• GM Ted Thompson didn’t seem all that optimistic about TE Colt Lyerla being back at a later point. (Bob McGinn)

Patriots

• WR Aaron Dobson is expected to make his preseason debut Thursday night. (Jeff Howe)
