49ers

G Jason Pinkston is unavailable for practice, but neither he nor the Browns have said why.

“I can assure you I’m in no legal trouble and retiring hasn’t come up,” Pinkston tweeted. “As far as my situation, I’ll leave it to them to explain.”

Raiders

• The Raiders are intrigued by the idea of having RBs Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew in the backfield together. They could possibly add some read-option plays for them. (Jim Trotter)
