Broncos new HC Gary Kubiak said that RB C.J. Anderson is not guaranteed the startingย job next year.
“He’s got to go earn that,” Kubiak said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post. “When he walked off the field last year he was playing that way. He’s a young player. I told him that when I talked to him. I said, “C.J. when you come back for the offseason you need to handle yourself like you’re the starter. … I think he’s ready to do that.“
Browns
- Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reports that the Browns and QB Brian Hoyer seem further apart than ever in regards to an extension.
- As of now, they do not have a meeting scheduled, but have met with free agent QB Josh McCown.

- Josina Anderson reports that the Lions do not have a meeting scheduled with free agent DT Nick Fairley, but her source expects one to be set up at some point.
