NFL Notes: Broncos, Colts, Panthers, Redskins, & Texans

Broncos

Colts

•  QB Joe Webb ran the read option on Friday with the first-team offense and threw a touchdown pass to Brenton Bersin. (David Newton)
• The Panthers have TE Ed Dickson lining up outside like a wide receiver in two tight-end formations, which gives them some advantages due to the height of Dickson, Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin. (David Newton)

Redskins

• The defense racked up 11 penalties in just two days due to the league’s new emphasis on illegal contact. (John Keim)
