Browns

• Tony Grossi is hearing that the Browns are trying to be “real aggressive” in free agency this year.

Chiefs

• James Palmer reports that the Chiefs are not interested in Cowboys backup QB Tony Romo should he become available.

Jaguars

• Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jaguars tendered exclusive rights free agent FS Peyton Thompson.

Lions

• Michael Rothstein reports that Lions DE Brandon Copeland has signed his exclusive rights tender worth $615,000 for the 2017 season.

Panthers

• The Panthers officially re-signed veteran DE Charles Johnson to a two-year, $9.5 million contract on Tuesday. (NFLTR)
• Johnson told reporters shortly after the news of his new contract broke that he plans to start recruiting free agent DE Julius Peppers and is hoping to convince him to retire as a Panther. (Max Hanson)

Texans

• According to Aaron Wilson, the Texans have Ravens free agent RT Ricky Wagner on their radar, but his sources have said that Wagner’s price range may get too expensive for Houston cap-wise.
