Browns

• The Browns and the reps for OL Jason Pinkston issued a statement Monday regarding his absence. According to the team, Pinkston’s absence is due to the fact that he has not been medically cleared for football activities. (Ron Ledgard)

• Free agent acquisition WR Golden Tate was taken off of the active/PUP list on Monday.

Panthers

• First-round pick WR Kelvin Benjamin is getting a having MRI on his left knee Monday. It’s not expected to be a serious injury. (Steve Reed)
