NFL Notes: Buccaneers, Lions, Titans, & Vikings

Buccaneers

• Tom Pelissero hears that Buccaneers RT Demar Dotson will undergo an MRI to reveal extent of his knee injury, but the belief is that he has a sprained MCL and possibly more.

Lions

• Lions HC Jim Caldwell said that OL Darren Keyton sustained a “significant injury” and is out for the season. (Michael Rothstein)

Titans

• Ross Jones reports that Titans LB Zaviar Gooden sustained a torn hamstring in Friday night’s preseason game, but it remains uncertain whether it’s season ending.

Vikings

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson mentioned that he “always knew” he’d back in Minnesota this year, despite all that had transpired in the offseason.

“Deep down inside, I always knew I’d be back here,” said Peterson, via Mark Craig of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “I like looking at situations and putting myself in other people’s positions. No way the Vikings were going to let me go.”
