NFL Notes: Dez Bryant, Jason Pierre-Paul, & Cardinals

Dez Bryant

Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report has spoken to sources close to the Cowboys and WR Dez Bryant who have said that the franchise receiver is “more chaotic than ever” in regards to how he’s handling the contract situation.

Cole mentions that Bryant is trying to get the Cowboys to move a bit in negotiations.

This explains Bryant’s tweet from Monday in which he threated to hold out of training camp and the regular.

Sources from both sides tell Cole that they’re uncertain as to how the next 24 hours will unfold. Cole considers it unlikely that anything will get done before tomorrow’s deadline.

Jason Pierre-Paul

  • Kimberly Jones reports that Jason Pierre-Paul has been discharged from Jackson Memorial Hospital after he was treated for injuries following a fireworks accident.

Cardinals

  • Mike Jurecki reports that Cardinals ILB Daryl Washington applied for reinstatement back on May 8th.
  • Washington is still waiting to hear from the league as to whether or not he’ll be reinstated following a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
