NFL Notes: Dolphins, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, & Ravens

Dolphins

Dolphins first-roundย WR DeVante Parker (foot) said he expects to play more in Week 2 after he was limited to playing just a singleย snapย against the Redskins.

โ€œI expected a little bit more than one play,โ€ Parker said, via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. โ€œ[But] Iโ€™m fine with one. I just want to wait for the right time to get me out there.

โ€œI just wasnโ€™t comfortable with doing certain things. I think my foot has done better every week. This week, I look forward to doing different things.โ€

Jets

Jets DEย Muhammad Wilkersonย mentioned that he views himself as โ€œone of the best defensive endsโ€ย and doesn’t need to “compete with those people upstairs.

โ€œIโ€™m a competitor, but Iโ€™m not going to compete with those people upstairs,โ€ Wilkerson said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. โ€œIf they feel Iโ€™m worthy or not worthy, whatever the case may be, thatโ€™s on them. I know what Iโ€™m capable of doing. โ€ฆย Iโ€™m not here to make a point about anything. If they think โ€ฆ I donโ€™t know, I really canโ€™t say how they feel about me. You have to talk to them. I just do my job and dominate as best I can.โ€

Panthers

  • Panthers placed OL Nate Chandler (knee) on season-ending injured reserve Thursday.

Patriots

  • Mike Reiss considers recently released WR Chris Harperย to be an idealย candidate to return to the Patriots’ practice squad.
