  • Tom Pelissero reports that the “early word” on Dolphins RB Arian Foster‘s injury is that it’s just a groin strain.
  • Pelissero admits that Foster is still “iffy” for Week 3, but he may only miss a week or two with this issue.


  • Ed Werder reports that Jets WR Brandon Marshall will know more Thursday or Friday about whether his knee injury will prevent him from playing in Week 3.


Patriots HC Bill Belichick admitted that QB Jimmy Garoppolo could still be a game-time decision for their Thursday game against the Texans.

“Could be, sure,” Belichick said, via “It would depend on the situation. It would depend on a lot of things. It’s possible. Sure.”


Redskins HC Jay Gruden mentioned that they still have “total faith” in QB Kirk Cousins, despite his early season struggles

We have total faith that Kirk will get it done, and he will get it done,” said Gruden, via “He has proven that he can be a successful quarterback in this league.
