- According to Charles Robinson, the Ravens “spent quite a bit of time” with Alabama DE Da’Shawn Hand on Tuesday.
- In addition, Robinson writes that the Bengals were “locked into” UTEP G Will Hernandez and have a lot of interest in UT-San Antonio DE Marcus Davenport.
- Michael Gehlken reports that the Raiders also interviews Davenport on Monday evening.
- Robinson adds that the Redskins are “clearly” focused on a quarterback.
Bills
When asked if the Bills got enough from their quarterbacks this past season, Bills GM Brandon Beane said that they feel QB Tyrod Taylor “did a lot of good things” and they’re still “early in the process” of making a decision at quarterback.
“That’s hard to say. We got to the playoffs, so it was a step in the right direction,” said Beane, via Mike Rodak of ESPN. “We have to look at Tyrod, we have to look at our offense. Tyrod did a lot of good things. You have to look at what are the things he could have done better? What are the other things that happened? Was it receivers running the wrong route? Maybe we could have run a better play. There’s just so many things that you could do, and I’m sure Tyrod knows there’s things he could have done better. We’re still early in the process. We like Tyrod a lot. He works hard and he does a lot of good things.”
Browns
Browns LT Joe Thomas mentioned that if it was up to him, he would sign QB Kirk Cousins in free agency and then target Penn State RB Saquon Barkley and a defensive player with the team’s two first-round picks.
“We have $118 million in cap space. So we have plenty of money to do whatever we want,” Thomas said, via ESPN.com. “But I would actually sign Kirk Cousins and then I would use the first and fourth pick on the best players available. Probably [Penn State running back] Saquon Barkley and one of the defensive players. I’m not exactly sure where they go, where they rank all the quarterbacks. For me, I would rather sign Kirk Cousins because we have the money. Then you don’t have to trade a draft pick for Alex Smith.”
Titans
- Pete Thamel reports that Ohio State DB coach Kerry Coombs is leaving for a position with the Titans under Mike Vrabel.
- Jason Wolf hears that the Titans have interest in Texans defensive line coach Anthony Weaver.
