NFL Notes: Free Agents, Bills, Chiefs, Redskins, & Vikings

Free Agents

• Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that several teams are interested in S Taylor Mays including the Vikings, Raiders, Rams, and Redskins. However, the Bengals have “strong interest” in re-signing him.

Bills

• Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills are expected to sign newly acquired QB Matt Cassel to a new extension, much like they did with RB LeSean McCoy.
• Rapoport adds that it obviously won’t be a big-money agreement.

Chiefs

• Jason La Canfora reports that the Chiefs haven’t given up on pursuing CB Darrelle Revis, even though they’re in a tough financial situation and are reportedly signing WR Jeremy Maclin.
• La Canfora adds that the Patriots and Jets remain in the mix for Revis.

Redskins

• According to John Keim, the Redskins remain in contact with RB Roy Helu, who reportedly has five teams interested in him.

Vikings

• Aaron Wilson reports that the Vikings have re-signed LS Cullen Loeffler to a one-year contract.
