NFL Notes: Giants, Panthers, Redskins, & Seahawks

     

Giants

  • Giants rookie S Justin Currie suffered a fractured ankle and will miss the entire 2015 season. (Paul Schwartz)
  • Giants LB Jon Beason sustained a sprained his knee and LB Mark Herzlich suffered a concussion.

Panthers

  • According to Jonathan Jones, Panthers DT Star Lotulelei is still in a walking boot after he sustained a stress reaction a few weeks ago.
  • Panthers C Ryan Kalil suffered a left knee injury in Saturday’s preseason game.
  • Panthers DE Frank Alexander (right ankle) was forced from the game with a right ankle injury.

Redskins

  • Jason Reid of ESPN 980 mentions that people within the Redskins’ building know it that they have “no chance unless a change is made at quarterback.”
  • According to Reid, if HC Jay Gruden had his ways, they would have moved on from Robert Griffin III last year.

Seahawks

  • Bob Condotta doesn’t see the Seahawks signing veteran S Taylor Mays, given that they’ve had a number of opportunities to sign him in the past and have passed on bringing him in.
