Kareem Hunt
Kareem Hunt sat down with ESPNโs Lisa Salters on Sunday to discuss the altercation with a woman that ultimately led to his release from the Chiefs.
โIt was just a long night,โ Hunt said. โTo be exact, it donโt really matter what happened. I was in the wrong. I could have took responsibility and made the right decision to find a way to descalate the situation.โ
Hunt confirmed reports that he was untruthful with the Chiefs about what occurred.
โI didnโt tell them everything,โ Hunt said. โI donโt blame them for anything. My actions caused this.โ
โThe Chiefs did what was right,โ Hunt added.
Hunt is still hoping to get another shot in the NFL.
โIโve worked for this my whole entire life,โ Hunt said. โI gave everything and sacrificed so much for this. โฆ Iโll do whatever I can to help win.
โThatโs not me. Thatโs not the person I am. Itโs out there. It happened. Iโm very embarrassed about it. Iโm ashamed of myself.โ
