• Matt Barrows reports that Cardinals DC Todd Bowles will meet with the 49ers in Santa Clara on Friday and Lions DC Teryl Austin today.

Browns

• Pat McManamon of ESPN reports that the Browns parted ways with OC Kyle Shanahan in part because he didn’t see eye to eye with the front office regarding QB Johnny Manziel.

“The front office wants Manziel to be the starter, and the source said the coaches do not believe they can win with him,” writes McManamon.

Jaguars

• Former Jaguars OC Jedd Fisch will be offered the pass game coordinator job at University of Michigan. (Peter Schrager)
