- Rothstein can’t seeย the Lions signing free agent DT Nick Fairley, unless he came at a “super cheap” price.
- Browns RT Mitchell Schwartz is a player Rothstein believes the Lions will consider pursuing if he reaches free agency.
- If Calvin Johnson elects to return for the 2016 season, Rothstein writes his $24 million cap number would require the Lions ย to discuss a restructure or pay cut.
Patriots
- Patriots are expected to haveย at least three to four compensatory picks in the NFL Draft, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.
- Nick Korte of Over The Cap projects the Patriots to gain aย third-rounder for CB Darrelle Revis, a fifth-rounder for DTย Vince Wilfork, a sixth-rounder for RBย Shane Vereen, and a seventh-rounder for LBย Akeem Ayers.
