Antonio Brown
-
Albert Breer says that the Steelers have “eyed up” the Raiders regarding a trade for WR Antonio Brown, seeing as they have three first-round picks to work with and could use a No. 1 receiver.
-
Breer adds that he isn’t sure how serious any of the suitors are to trade for Brown.
-
Peter King says there’s “real competition” for an Antonio Brown trade and he would expect the Steelers to move him as early as this week.
-
King confirms that the Raiders, Titans and Redskins are the chief suitors, but adds that there could be at least one more team with serious interest.
- Despite an earlier report, Mike Klis spoke to a source close to John Elway who said that the Broncos are not interested in a possible trade for Antonio Brown and have not been involved in trade talk.
Nick Foles
- NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport said he would not necessarily rule out either the Dolphins or Giants in negotiations for QB Nick Foles.
- Rapoport also said he expects Foles to sign a deal similar to Denver QB Case Keenum last season, worth $20 million-plus a year.
Carson Wentz
- According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, the Eagles are unlikely to work out an extension for QB Carson Wentz this offseason.
- Wentz believes he can increase his value with another successful season, while Philadelphia wants to see if the fourth-year QB can make it through an entire season healthy.
- McLane says sources close to Wentz expect him to be ready for offseason activities in mid-April.
