According to Bengals.com, the end may be coming for Chad Ochocinco if the teams decides to draft WR A.J. Green with the fourth overall pick.
Early mock drafts had Cincinnati taking Green at No. 4 but since then some of the quarterback prospects have seen their stock rise. Carson Palmer hasn’t helped the situation at all and is still demanding a trade out of town which leaves the Bengals with a huge need at quarterback.
Even if the Bengals choose to not take Green, there’s a chance that Ochocinco could still be let go. The Bengals would have to pay Chad $6 million for the 2011 season and given that the team appears to be moving in a newย directionย offensively with the hire of ย Jay Gruden, Ochocinco isn’tย guaranteedย to be brought back.
