Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reports that veteran QB Vince Young has hired Brian Overstreet as his new agent.
Young, 30, mentioned earlier this week that he has found “some interest” from NFL teams this offseason.
“I’ve been getting some calls, some interest,” Young said then. “That’s the good part about it.ย You never know what’s going to happen with that. I have my agent out there working.”
Young added that he has been working out in San Diego since January and is ready to go in the event that an NFL team shows interest inviting him to training camp.
Given where we are in the league year, it seems likely that Young will have to wait until after the draft before seeing what opportunities are available to him. Even then, there’s no guarantee that another team will take a chance on him.
Young was with the Packers for part of the preseason, but was cut loose before the start of the regular season and wound up sitting out the entire year.
