Albert Breer reports that the NFL has approved a third game to be hosted at Wembley stadium in London next year.
- Breer adds that the Falcons, Jaguars and Raiders will be the three home teams for these games.
We most likely will not know who these teams will play until the NFL schedule is released sometime next year.
“Our fans in the UK have continued to demonstrate that they love football and want more,” Roger Goodell said. “Both of this year’s games in London sold out quickly. The fan enthusiasm for our sport continues to grow. By playing two games in the UK this year, we are creating more fans. We hope that with three games in London next year we will attract even more people to our game.”
The NFL hosted just a single game in London back in 2012, but increased that to two games for the 2013 season. It’s clear that the NFL remains focused on growing the international fan base through these games.
