Vic Carucci fo the Buffalo Newsย reports that the NFL will not suspend Billsย RBย LeSean McCoy and his involvement in a nightclub incident that occurred back in February.
This comes just a few weeks after the Pennsylvania attorney general officially dismissedย theirย investigation into McCoy and theย incident.
All indications have been for a few months now that McCoy was unlikely face charges for the incident.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported back in April that the McCoyย wasย not expected to face anyย discipline from the NFL for his role in theย altercation.ย However, the league was reportedlyย still conducting their investigationย into the matter.
According to Rapoport, the Bills hadย planned all offseason for some sort of suspension for McCoy, but with a lack of evidence in theย altercation, he is not expected to face any sort of ban to open the 2016 season.
McCoy, 27, is inย the second year of his five-year, $40 million contractย that includedย $26.05 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary ofย $4.8 million for the 2016 season.
In 2015,ย McCoy appeared in 12 games for the Bills and ran for 895 yards on 203 carries (4.4 YPC) to go along with 32 receptions for 292 yards receiving and five total touchdowns for the Bills.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 running backย out of 67 qualifying players.
