The Green Bay Packers announced Saturday that they’ve waived CB Marc-Antoine Dequoy, TE James Looney and WR Darrell Stewart.
Looney, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Packers back in 2018. He signed a four-year, $2.5 million contract with Green Bay but was waived coming out of the preseason.
Looney has been on and off of the team’s practice squad over the last two years. He actually made the transition to playing tight end after entering the NFL as a defensive lineman.
In 2018, Looney was active for three games, but didn’t not record a tackle.
