The Green Bay Packers officially designated rookie TE Jace Sternberger as one of their two players to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.
- The Packers also signed RB Damarea Crockett and DB Tremon Smith to their practice squad and released TE Ethan Wolf the unit.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Packers to add Sternberger to their active roster.
Green Bay placed Sternberger on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.
Sternberger, 22, was the No. 75 overall pick by the Packers out of Texas A&M. He began his college career at Kansas before transferring to Texas A&M for the 2018 season.
The Packers signed Sternberger to a four-year, $3,526,524 rookie contract including a $1,006,524 signing bonus.
During his college career, Sternberger recorded 49 receptions for 837 yards receiving (17.1 YPC) and 10 touchdowns.
