The Green Bay Packers officially placed OT Jason Spriggs on injured reserve after clearing waivers on Wednesday.
Typically, players who end up reverting to injured reserve this way are eventually waived with injury settlements, so it’s very possible that this is the end of the line for Spriggs in Green Bay.
Spriggs, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $5.004 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.13 million for the 2019 season.
Spriggs is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Spriggs appeared in 13 games for the Packers and made two starts for them.
