According to Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com, Packers senior personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith is visiting with the Browns on Tuesday and could join John Dorsey’s front office staff.
- Rob Demovsky has confirmed the report that Green Bay has granted Highsmith permission to meet with the Browns.
Highsmith is a respected front office executive and come up as a potential target for a few NFL teams in recent years.
There’s an obvious connection between Dorsey and Highsmith, considering that they worked together while in Green Bay a few years ago before Dorsey departed for the Chiefs’ GM position.
Highsmith, 52, is a former first-round pick of the Houston Oilers back in 1987. He also played for the Cowboys and Buccaneers over his seven-year career.
Highsmith was hired by the Packers back in 2012 and has been working as their Senior Personnel Executive.
