The Green Bay Packers officially OLB Reggie Gilbert to a one-year, exclusive rights deal for the 2019 season on Thursday.
Gilbert, 26, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the regular season and spent his rookie season on Green Bay’s practice squad.
The Packers brought Gilbert back on a future/reserve contract in 2017. He will be a restricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Gilbert appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and recorded 38 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
