Packers Re-Sign S Ibraheim Campbell, Release RB Corey Grant

According to Field Yates, the Packers have re-signed S Ibraheim Campbell and released RB Corey Grant

Grant was signed by the Packers just a few days ago. Green Bay also placed Campbell on the PUP list. 

Campbell, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,792,008 contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 when Cleveland decided to waive him with an injury settlement in 2017.

Campbell signed on with the Texans but was among their final roster cuts in 2018. He had brief stints with the Cowboys and Jets before he was waived and later claimed by the Packers.

In 2018, Campbell appeared in eight games and recorded 19 tackles, no interceptions and a forced fumble.

Grant, 27, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2015. He has managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first three years in the NFL and returned to the Jaguars on a second-round restricted tender worth $2.914 million for the 2018 season.

Grant signed with the Packers and received $60,000 guaranteed, however, he was released after only a few days. 

In 2018, Grant appeared in five games for the Jaguars and rushed for 40 yards on 13 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 67 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
