Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers signed CFL DB DaShaun Amos to a futures contract for the 2020 season on Wednesday.
Here’s the updated list of futures signings for the Packers:
- WR Reggie Begelton
- RB Elijah Wellman
- DB DaShaun Amos
Green Bay brought Amos in for a tryout on Tuesday and it appears as though he was impressive enough to earn an offer from the team.
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Amos, 25, wound up going undrafted out of East Carolina back in 2017. He later signed on with the Giants, but was waived at the start of the regular season.
From there, Amos agreed to a deal with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL and has spent the past two years in Canada.
During his CFL career, Amos recorded 52 tackles, five interceptions, and a defensive touchdown over the course of 19 games.
