According to Field Yates, the Packers are expected to re-sign RB/KR Tyler Ervin to a one-year deal.
Green Bay’s return game was terrible last season before they brought in Ervin, so it’s not a big surprise to hear they’re bringing him back for another year.
Ervin, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Texans back in 2016. He spent over two years in Houston before he was waived later signed to the Ravens’ practice squad.
Baltimore brought Ervin back on a futures contract only to waive him coming out of the preseason. The Jaguars later claimed him off waivers before cutting him loose in November.
Ervin was once again claimed off waivers, this time by the Packers.
In 2019, Ervin appeared in 10 games for the Jaguars and Packers and rushed for 10 yards while catching two passes for 11 yards receiving. He also contributed 267 kick return yards and 115 punt return yards.
