According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers brought in five players for workouts on Tuesday, including RB Alex Collins.
The full list of tryouts includes:
- RB Alex Collins
- FB Ricky Ortiz
- QB Tanner Lee
- WR Brian Burt
- WR Emanuel Hall
Collins, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2016. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.566 million contract that included a $184,384 signing bonus when he was cut loose by the Seahawks at the start of the 2017 season.
Collins signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad a few days later and was eventually promoted to their active roster. The Ravens brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year but was released back in March following an arrest and received a three-game suspension by the NFL.
He was officially reinstated from suspension last month. The Bills worked him out last week but Collins left Buffalo without a contract.
In 2018, Collins appeared in 10 games and rushed for 411 yards on 114 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 105 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.
