According to Howard Balzer, the Green Bay Packers brought in two free agents for workouts this week including LB Brady Sheldon and S J.J. Wilcox.
The Packers signed Sheldon to their practice squad on Tuesday.
Wilcox, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He has played out his four-year, $2,811,068 contract with the Cowboys before signing a two-contract with the Buccaneers worth up to $8.5 million.
The Buccaneers traded him to the Steelers at the start of the 2017 season for a 2018 sixth-round pick.ย Wilcox was set to make a base salary ofย $3.125 million for the 2018 season when the Steelers released him during the offseason.
Wilcox later signed on with the Jets this past June before being released last month. Since becoming a free agent, he worked out for the Redskins but left his meeting without a contract.
In 2018, Wilcox has appeared in five games for the Jets and recorded three tackles and no interceptions.
