The Green Bay Packers are bringing in veteran WR Tavon Austin for a workout in the coming days, according to Field Yates.
Rob Demovsky adds that the Packers are also working out DTs Brian Price and Niles Scott.
It’s worth mentioning that Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling was added to the injury report with an Achilles injury.
Austin, 30, was the No. 8 overall pick back in 2013 for the then-St. Louis Rams. He signed a six-year, $56.14 million contract and was set to make base salaries of $3 million and $9.35 million over the next two years before he agreed to a pay cut in 2018.
The Cowboys traded a sixth-round pick for Austin in 2018. He re-signed with the team on a one-year deal in 2019. He signed on with the 49ers a few month ago but was cut loose soon after.
In 2019, Austin appeared in 14 games for the Cowboys. He caught 13 passes for 177 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also rushed six times for 47 yards.
