Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Panthers are hosting Vikings free agent OLย Jeremiah Sirles for a visit on Monday.
This is the first reported interest in Sirles since the free agent market officially opened.
Sirles, 26, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and spent the year on the team’s practice squad.
The Chargers later traded Sirles to the Vikings in return for a 2016 sixth-round pick that eventually became FB Derek Watt. Minnesota brought Sirles back on an exclusive rights contract last year but declined to tender him a contract as aย restricted free agent this offseason.
In 2017, Sirles appeared in 14 games for the Vikingsย and is rated byย Pro Football Focusย as the No. 48 offensive tackleย out of 81 qualifying players.
