Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart‘s injury looks to be a high-ankle sprain confirmed Bill Voth on Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach Ron Rivera referred to his running back’s status as “day-to-day”.
High-ankle sprains are typically more than simple ‘day-to-day’ injuries and with Stewart likely out of the mix in the Panthers backfield, DeAngelo Williams should receive a majority of the handoffs for the Panthers. Carolina will likely suffer in the run game, considering Stewart was a solid change-of-pace runner from the speedy Williams.
