Panthers Re-Signing Veteran DT Kyle Love

Joe Person reports that the Panthers are re-signing DT Kyle Love on Tuesday with first-round DT Vernon Butler expected to miss a few weeks with an injury.

Love, 29, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in 2010. After three years in New England, Love had brief stints with the Jaguars and Chiefs before eventually catching on with the Panthers in 2014.

Unfortunately, Love was among one of the Panthers’ final roster cuts as they trimmed down to 53 players.

In 2015, Love appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 19 tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery.
