Panthers Waive/Injured WR Stephen Hill Following Torn ACL, Sign WR Paul Browning

The Carolina Panthers announced Sunday that they’ve waived/injured WR Stephen Hill after he sustained a torn ACL.

The Panthers also signed WR Paul Browning to a contract to take his place on their roster.

Hill, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Jets. He spent just two years with the team before he was placed waivers at the start of the 2014 season.

The Panthers later signed Hill to their practice squad and eventually gave him a future/reserve contract.

Last year, Hill appeared in 12 games and caught 24 passes for 342 yards receiving and a touchdown.
