Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have activated WR Mohamed Sanu from the PUP list on Tuesday after he passed a physical.
Sanu is working his way back from ankle surgery.
Sanu, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He spent four years in Cincinnati before signing a five-year, $32.5 million contract that included $14 million guaranteed with the Falcons in 2016.
The Falcons traded Sanu to the Patriots for a second-round pick before last year’s deadline.
Sanu stands to make a base salary of $6.5 million in 2020.
In 2019, Sanu appeared in 15 games for the Patriots and Falcons and caught 59 passes for 520 yards receiving and touchdowns. He also rushed for 11 yards.
