Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Patriots are expected to sign former Ravens LB Albert McClellan to a contract after he visited the team on Monday.
According to Zrebiec, the Ravens wanted to re-sign McClellan but didn’t feel like they had the roster flexibility last week with their injury situation.
McClellan, 32, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall back in 2010. He finished out his two-year contract with the team before signing a new three-year, $3.75 million contract in 2016.
McClellan was set to make a base salary ofย $1.25 million for the 2018 season when the Ravens released him coming out of the preseason and he’s been on and off of their roster ever since.
Inย 2018,ย McClellan appeared in six games for the Ravens and recorded three tackles.
