Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots have reached an agreement with RB Lamar Miller on a one-year deal Monday, pending a physical.

Miller joins James White, Rex Burkhead, Damien Harris and J.J. Taylor as part of the Patriots’ backfield.

Miller posted a video back in July showing he has progressed to running and cutting as he works his way back from a torn ACL. Miller tore his ACL last year during the preseason in the final year of his contract with the Texans.

Miller, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with Miami before agreeing to a four-year, $26 million contract that included $14 million guaranteed with the Texans back in 2016.

Miller made a base salary of $5.5 million for the 2019 season and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Miller appeared in 13 games for the Texans and rushed for 917 yards on 193 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 23 receptions for 163 yards receiving and five total touchdowns.

We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
