According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots are in talks with free agent DT Allen Bailey and is still considering a potential return to the Chiefs.
The veteran defensive lineman visited the Patriots last Thursday (NFLTR).
Bailey, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2011. He played out the final year of his five-year, $25.67 million contract and is testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2018, Bailey appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 38 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, four receivers and a defensive touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 91 interior defensive lineman out of 112 qualifying players.
