Patriots Releasing RB Ralph Webb & DT Vincent Valentine From PS

According to Kevin Duffy, the Patriots have released RB Ralph Webb from their practice squad on Monday.

Mike Reiss adds that the Patriots are also releasing DT Vincent Valentine from the unit.

The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DE Trent Harris
  2. CB Jomal Wiltz
  3. QB Danny Etling
  4. C/G James Ferentz
  5. OT Eric Smith
  6. TE Stephen Anderson
  7. WR Riley McCarron (Injured)
  8. DB David Jones

This is an interesting move, considering that the Patriots could use some help at running back.

Webb, 23, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was unfortunately cut loosing coming out of the preseason.

The Patriots later signed Webb to their practice squad.

During his four-year college career at Vanderbilt, Webb rushed for 4,178 yards on 931 carries (4.5 YPC) to go along with 68 receptions for 572 yards receiving and 35 total touchdowns over the course of 49 games.
