The Patriots announced the signing of DB Daxton Swanson and rookie free agent DL L.T. Tuipulotu on Thursday.
New England also announced the release of rookie free agent S Jeremy Deering and WR Greg Orton.
Swanson, 23, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Sam Houston State back in 2013. However, he lasted just a few months before he was later signed to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.
It’s worth mentioning that Swanson is the all-time leader in interceptions with 14 at Sam Houston State.
Tuipulotu, 23, started 11 games while at Utah last season. He produced 42 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and three recoveries in 2013.
