The New England Patriots officially signed FB Glenn Gronkowski to their practice squad on Saturday and waived WR Da’Ron Brown.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Bishop Sankey
- G Chris Barker
- DE Geneo Grissom
- DT Woodrow Hamilton
- WR Devin Lucien
- S Vinnie Sunseri
- LB Quentin Gause
- WR DeAndrew White
- FB Glenn Gronkowski
- DT Anthony Johnson
Gronkowski, 23, wound up signing on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster a few weeks ago, but will not have to pass through waivers before signing on with a team of his choosing.
Gronkowski signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Bills but was waived a few weeks ago.
During his three-year college career, Gronkowski totaled 51 rushing yards on 16 carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 369 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
