Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that Patriots and long snapper Joe Cardona have reached agreement on a four-year extension.
This is the second player the Patriots have signed to an extension on Thursday after they locked up FBÂ James Develin to a two-year deal.
Cardona, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.48 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
In 2017, Cardona appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and recorded four tackles.
