Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston opines that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski could start training camp on the PUP list.
Reiss doesn’t see any clear candidates for the reserve/PUP list apart from TE Jake Ballard, but sees Gronkowski as one of many possibilities. Players on the list can be activated at any time, and Gronkowski is on course to be ready for the new season.
Gronkowski was a major part of the Patriots offense in 2011, tallying up 90 receptions for 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns.
