The New England Patriots have signed S Shamiel Gary to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to his agent David Canter.
- Doug Kyed reported that the Patriots brought in Gary for a workout on Monday.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Bishop Sankey
- G Chris Barker
- WR Devin Lucien
- WR DeAndrew White
- G Chase Farris
- WR Shaq Evans
- RB Tyler Gaffney
- FB Glenn Gronkowski
- G Jamil Douglas
Gary, 25, originally signed with the Patriots as a undrafted free agent out Oklahoma Stae in 2014. He later caught on with the Bears before signing a future/reserve contract with the Dolphins.
Gary was unfortunately among the Dolphins’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Vikings’ practice squad a few days later. Minnesota cut him after just over a week ago.
In 2015, Gary appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded 11 tackles and no interceptions.
