Jeff Darlingtonย reports that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said he expects Matt Moore to be the starting quarterback in Week 1.
Ross said it is not the plan, only his guess, but he definitely has a say when it comes to team decisions, so this most likely means Moore will be under center for the first game of 2012.
Moore played thirteen of the Dolphins’ sixteen games last season following Chad Henne‘s injury, and posted a QB rating of 87.1, throwing 16 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions. David Garrard and first-round pick Ryan Tannehill are also on Miami’s depth chart.
It seems like a two-horse race between Moore and Tannehill to see who starts on opening day.
