Raiders Officially Place OT Trent Brown On Injured Reserve, Sign LB Ukeme Eligwe

Raiders HC Jon Gruden announced Wednesday that they’re placing OT Trent Brown on injured reserve.

The Raiders made the move official on Thursday and signed LB Ukeme Eligwe to fill the open roster spot.

Brown has been dealing with a pectoral injury that apparently is not improving, which is why the Raiders opted to shut him down for the season.

Brown, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He was traded to the Patriots last year in a pick swap.

Brown played out the final year of his four-year, $2.28 million contract before agreeing to a record four-year, $66 million deal that includes $36.75 million guaranteed with the Raiders this offseason.

In 2019, Brown has appeared in 11 games for the Raiders and made 11 starts at right tackle.
