Michael C. Wright reports that the Raiders are signing DL Dan Williams and LB Curtis Lofton to contract.

Williams, 27, is a former first round pick of the Cardinals back in 2010. He played out his five-year, $8,985,000 rookie contract that included $6,880,000 guaranteed with the Raiders and was one of the best available defensive linemen.

Last year, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 32 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.

Lofton was released by New Orleans after the team attempted to trade him.  While Lofton had a down year in 2014, his release was more a result of New Orleans restrictive cap situation.

In 2014, Lofton recorded 145 tackles, one forced fumble and a recovery over the course of 16 games for New Orleans. Pro Football Focus has Lofton rated as the No. 57 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players last year.
